According to the National Prognosis Commission’s latest estimate, Romania’s GDP growth will reach 5.6% this year, the forecast for next years being promising as well: the GDP will grow by 5.5% in 2018, 5.7% in 2019 and 2020 and 5% in 2021.

Romania’s GDP will reach RON 837.1 billion (EUR 182 billion) this year, RON 901.7 billion (EUR 196.1 billion) in 2018 and RON 970.6 billion (EUR 211 billion) in 2019.

Romania recorded the highest annual economic growth in the European Union in the second quarter of this year, namely 5.7%, according to a report the EU’s statistical office Eurostat published in August.
