Prodexpo-2020: dé voedseltentoonstelling in Moskou

Prodexpo-2020 Event, the largest food exhibition, is one of the premiere Russian trade shows in the professional food and beverage industry. The Event is organized by Expocentre with assistance from the Ministry of Agriculture, Moscow City Government and under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.

Prodexpo-2020 was represented by 30 product sectors with a whole range of food and drinks, covered by 2,600 companies (an increase to 6% compared with 2019) from 70 countries of Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa and Australia as well as 120 Russian and international retail chains which gained the moment to find potential partners for their business.

The matter is that one of the permanent trend is that the exhibition attracts more and more local manufacturers, both large and small. Definitely, it is the largest platform for food manufacturers to show their products and generate sales channels.

It should be noted, that the special attention was attracted to ProdexpoWine Exposition with a special focus on beer exposition which is a reflection of raising  interest to the development of small and 'micro' (craft) brewing. Interesting fact that the 'beer' section increased by 50% compared to 2017. More than 80 companies from Russia, Germany, Chile, China, Lithuania, Belarus, Austria, Poland, Armenia, Austria, Kazakhstan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, and Portugal took part in the ProdexpoWine Exposition.

According to the opinion of some exhibitors, there is another clear trend that the majority of Russian distributors and importers are looking for specific products that can be considered as some kind of novelty on the Russian market. Thus, the exhibition can be recommended for Flemish companies which have 'niche' or specific product, except food sectors covered by the sanctions, with attractive competitive advantages and clear benefit for potential Russian business partners.

Attending Prodexpo Annual Expo, any company will back at work with new ideas plus a stack of business cards from potentially perspective new business contacts of customers, suppliers, distributors, and even innovators. Exhibiting companies can strengthen industry contacts by meeting more than 67,000 decision making buyers. It brings together main distributors as well as all other types of clients.
