The Russian Health Care Week is organized by the Russian State Duma, Ministry of Health Care and supported by Federation Council, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Moscow City Government, Chamber of Commerce and Industry and World Health Office in Russia.

The Health Care Week is Russia's largest series of events related to this sector, it´s not only the Healthcare Exhibition, but also many forums, round tables, matchmaking meetings that are held in frames of it. Moreover, the Week traditionally unites major international exhibitions such as 'Healthcare' (Zdravookhraneniye) 2018, 'Healthy Lifestyle 2018', and 'MedTravelExpo 2018. Medical Clinics. Health and Spa Resorts'.

This year, the exhibitions welcomes about 1,000 exhibitors from all the federal districts of Russia and 36 countries, among the exhibitors 670 companies are Russian ones, and 33% of the total number of participants are foreign ones. National pavilions are arranged by Brazil, China, Cuba, Czech Republic, Germany.

Undoubtedly, it´s an essential forum and exhibition event in the healthcare sector with a comprehensive  support of the Russian government.

This year, Skolkovo Techpark also shows products and developments of the residents of its biomedical cluster.

Among the exhibition scopes are: functional diagnostics, visualization diagnostics, endoscopy, surgery, general hospital equipment, sterilization and disinfection, disposable products, medical industry services.

Decision & follow-up:

According to organizers, every year the exhibition space is growing. In December 2018, the best equipment and new developments in the field of health care were covered 40,000 sq m. The sector of commercial medical services keeps growing, according to exhibition official media, its annual increase amounts to 13%, the market share of imported medical devices amounts to 85,8%, the market share of imported registered medical devices amounts to 70%.

The exhibition is important because it is a platform not only for medical and health professionals, researchers and experts, but also government officials, including CEO´s of the most largest state enterprises and representatives of regional authorities.

However, the exhibition can be considered as the biggest platform in Russia in this field to promote the rapid development of the health products and helps the manufacturers to improve the existing networking and get a complex opinion about the development level of health area in Russia and future trends on this market.

The organizers are providing some opportunities for each company to promote their products as matchmaking appointments with the companies or persons of interest as well as special promotion services to present the company, equipment and products, to be demonstrated at the stand, prior to the trade show (for example, in the news on the exhibition website, the banner ‘Exhibition Participant’ on the company website).

Thus, the Exhibition can be recommended for Flemish companies to take part in, especially in case if they are planning to enter the Russian market and consider themselves as new potential players on it.
