FIT endeavours on a journey to the magical world of Tomorrowland. This immersive experience is inclusive and revolutionary. It ensures that really anyone can enjoy the spectacular world of Tomorrowland: one of the finest technologies within digital innovation.

Startup.Flanders invests greatly in connecting startups across borders. Some Flemish and Catalan startups were responsible for this success, which is truly inspiring to us.

In this virtual tour of one hour, the visitor experiences a path of technological class, across a distance of more thatn 1.000 m2. This VR-experience is developed by the creative team of Tomorrowland and the Xtended Reality Music Hub.

"We want to provide the stories of Tomorrowland with an extra dimension and reach out to both the young and the old, across the entire globe. Thanks to ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’, visitors are able to dive into different worlds of Tomorrowland and experience true magic. At this point, we are already doing this with fiction books. In ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ people are drawn into this magical world by using their VR-glasses. The team has worked for over two years on this project. We hope that we can take this experience out in the world and let it travel the globe. Barcelona has been the first step, but let’s hope that we can take this experience to another fun city in the near future. And hopefully, we can also bring this experience to Belgium one day.” – Debby Wilmsen, spokesperson Tomorrowland.

At the moment ‘The Great Library of Tomorrow’ is set up in the startup hub of Europe: Barcelona. It opened there in December and will remain open for the general public up until at least March. Barcelona is ranked third in the list of most attractive startup hubs in Europe and therefore, the perfect spot to showcase this innovative piece of technology.

This technology is the result of a successful collaboration between Flanders and Catalunya. It are precisely these kind of technologies, which FIT supports and which empower Flanders as a region. This allows Flanders to keep challenging itself and to propel in the 5th industrial revolution.

Just like Tomorrowland, FIT also greatly believes in the magic of a digital future and creative cross-overs. In the near future, Tomorrowland and FIT will also partner even more frequently, in order to grant Flemish startups all the potential growth they deserve.
