COO Brussels Airport Company makes the move to Flanders Investment & Trade

Brussels, 13 November 2023 - Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) appoints Piet Demunter as COO after an external assessment procedure. Demunter, current COO of Brussels Airport Company, came out on top from a pool of more than 80 candidates. He thus becomes the first COO at FIT, a new position that ratifies the renewal operation at FIT.

With the agency's strategic transformation, CEO Joy Donné wants to position FIT even more strongly as a crucial actor for internationally entrepreneurial Flanders. The COO awaits the important task of aligning operational functioning with this new vision.

Demunter will head the Business Management & Operations Department, which comprises some 70 employees. This new operations department connects companies in Flanders with potential investors and foreign buyers through FIT's foreign network.

He will start at FIT on 8 January 2024.
