Veemnatie builds depots for chemical company Fibrant (NL)
The project consists of nine dry bulk warehouses capable of storing up to 160,000 tons of ammonium sulphate, which is a harmless by-product of the caprolactam manufacturing process, and is used as fertilizer.
By entering into a partnership with Veemnatie, Fibrant hopes to offer the best logistical services for its international customers. For this, Flanders is certainly a strategic choice. Even more, their new location at the Port of Antwerp can help reduce the company’s carbon footprint. The connections available at the port enable fast transport by inland and sea-going vessels, which means less has to be transported by road.
Fibrant, which was founded in 1952, is a chemical company located in Limburg, the Netherlands. Its production of caprolactam, ammonium sulphate and other compounds is centered in both the Netherlands and China. Since October 2018, Fibrant is part of the Chinese Highsun Holding Group Ltd. Fibrant expands into Flanders by taking over the brand new warehouses at the Port of Antwerp in the first quarter of 2021.
