Swiss Post plans move into Belgian market

Swiss Post is planning to move into the Belgian business-mail market this year. The move will be made through its Dutch subsidiary Swiss Post International Netherlands, based at Eindhoven, close to the Flemish border.

The company will take only outgoing post, which will be sorted at its Eindhoven center before forwarding to the relevant destination by road or air.

Swiss Post International Netherlands was previously TNT International Mail Nederland, which was taken over by Swiss Post in 2001. It has some 30 staff and handles around six tons of post a day at Eindhoven. The parent company also has operations in Germany, the UK, the US, France, Italy and Austria.
