Innovative consortium
Smart AR glasses add a digital layer to reality. This can be useful in gaming, but numerous other applications are possible as well, for instance in the medical industry. To be successful and commercially viable, however, smart glasses must be equipped with high-quality yet cost-effective microdisplays.
This is where Micledi comes in, a spin-off of imec, Flanders’ strategic research center for nanotech and digital innovation. Together with QustomDot, a spin-off from the University of Ghent in Flanders, Micledi is now forming a consortium to produce polychrome screens with high resolution and brightness.
