Sodexo (France) acquires Xpenditure (Flanders)

Located in Mechelen, Xpenditure has been acquired by French employee services firm Sodexo. Flanders-based Xpenditure commercializes a platform that enables companies to take pictures of expense accounts and transfer them online for further handling—dramatically cutting down on the amount of accounting paperwork.

Growing worldwide

To finance further growth, Xpenditure was looking for investors. “Sodexo gives us the chance to become a worldwide player in our business,” comments Boris Bogaert, founder of Xpenditure. Through Sodexo, the Flanders-based platform gains access to no fewer than 500,000 companies around the globe.

Bigger and stronger

As a result of the acquisition, Xpenditure will merge with iAlbatros (online business trip booking) and operate as a stand-alone entity under Sodexo. In addition, Xpenditure will be doubling its workforce from 50 to 100 employees.
