Achieving a 36 percent growth rate in 2017, PostNL is growing at a faster rate than the market in Belgium. On an average weekday, the company delivers 675,000 packages in the Benelux.
Another major factor in their growth in Belgium is the enormous range of PostNL’s logistics services. Rudy Van Rillaer, managing director of PostNL Belgium: “Everyone knows the package delivery service that comes directly to your door. However, we also have a mix of innovative solutions for different sectors, for both B2B and B2C customers. That total offer is the strength of PostNL and gives us the confidence to further expand our company in Belgium.”
This further expansion also creates a lot of extra jobs. Rudy Van Rillaer: "The growth of PostNL in Belgium is not only reflected in an increased number of parcels delivered, but also in the number of jobs. Between now and 2020, we will build two high-tech parcel sorting centers in Belgium. In practice, these centers alone will account for about 300 jobs."
