SG Lighting is a family-owned business with its roots in Norway and sales departments throughout Sweden, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Austria, the UK and the Benelux. From its warehouses in Mechelen the company can effortlessly guarantee smooth and fast deliveries to wholesalers and lighting retailers all over Europe thanks to Flanders’ top-notch logistical infrastructure and strategic location in the heart of Europe.
The Norwegian lighting manufacturer has a tradition of high ambitions: it strives to record a compound double-digit growth year after year. To achieve this, efficient warehousing and stock management are key. That’s why SG Lighting in Mechelen adopted a sophisticated ERP system back in 2017. This enables the Flanders-based site to follow pace with digital innovations, streamline its operations and get a clear overview of all international branches.
SG Lighting in Mechelen has already doubled the size of its warehouses from 2,500 to 5,000 m² in recent years, almost tripling its stock capacity as a result. But the company is planning on investing even more in its expansion, innovation and publicity in Flanders in the near future.
The site in Flanders has already grown enormously in the past few years: in terms of revenue, workforce and stock. We intend to stay on that course.
The company is one of the largest manufacturers of lighting products in Scandinavia, employing about 700 workers. In Flanders, 33 employers work at the Mechelen site on average.
