LANXESS has two production sites at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges in Flanders. At its site in Lillo, the specialty chemicals company produces the semi-finished products caprolactam and polyamide, while its Kallo site manufactures fiberglass and rubber chemicals. In fact, the two Flanders-based sites are at the heart of LANXESS' international activities in high-tech plastics.
With a second N2O reduction plant at its site in Lillo, the German company is investing yet another EUR 13 million towards improving the sustainability of the Port of Antwerp-Bruges’ region, Europe’s largest integrated petrochemical cluster. The plant should be fully operational in 2023 – only two years after the first installation was inaugurated.
