The new ultra-modern building of 40,000 m² in size will make use of the Albert Canal for transport. The first phase of the project will create 350 new jobs. The investment is estimated at EUR 65 million. In the future, the building will be extended to 75,000 square meters, which would create an additional 600 jobs.
According to the Provincial Development Agency (POM) of Limburg, there is still an issue in finalizing the building permit. “Together with Weerts Supply Chain and Kuehne+Nagel, we are currently working hard to get the permit in order,” says departing CEO Frank Zwerts of POM Limburg.
