Kortrijk gains 70 hectares of industry land

The region around the city of Kortrijk in West Flanders has been granted 70 hectares of additional land for industry, De Tijd newspaper reports.

The gains come through an expansion of existing industry zones and the development of others in particular areas. The regional plan also allows for the building of 8,000 new homes, the expansion of the LAR transport zone and more green areas.

Approval of the plan followed an extensive consultation process.
