Logistica Industriale - a family-based Italian printing group, specialising in the local printing of international news publications such as the Financial Times, the Wall Street Journal Europe, USA Today and the Herald Tribune – has decided to invest 15 m
The investment represents Logistica Industriale’s first move outside the Italian domestic market. Both Italian and international titles will be printed at the Mechelen center, with distribution throughout Central and Northern Europe.
LI is aiming for a capacity of 150,000 newspapers per day by the end of the year and will employ 30 new staff.
The arrival of the Italian print group in Mechelen is also good news for Agfa Graphic Systems in Mortsel. Agfa has won a contract to deliver Polaris 100E print preparation machines to the Nekkerspoel center. In the past, Agfa has supplied similar equipment for Logistica Industriale’s Italian plants at Budrio, Carsoli and Oricola.
