Iimak builds new facility in Flanders

The US company Iimak has begun construction of a new European plant at Westerlo, east of Antwerp.

The investment of 15 million euro will provide a facility of 4,000 square meters and employ some 120 people.

Iimak is one of the world's largest manufacturers of thermal transfer ribbons used in tag and label printers, facsimile machines, sign printers, ID card printers and a variety of other specialty printers. The company invents formulations, develops the manufacturing processes, manufactures inks, coats films and converts master rolls into finished ribbons at its facility in Armherst, NY.
