Horizons Ventures (HK) invests EUR 4 million in Cloudalize

Ghent IT company Cloudalize, which specializes in making graphical working environments available on smartphones and tablets, received EUR 4 million from Horizons Ventures, the investment fund of Hong Kong telecom magnate Li Ka-Shing.

Catering to construction and real estate

Cloudalize provides cloud-based graphical working environments. Its solution is particularly successful in the construction and real estate sectors. The technology allows real estate agency vendors to guide their customers through virtual model of buildings yet to be constructed. “The real estate sector is digitalizing quickly. We want our audience to reach graphic processing power with a click,” Cloudalize CEO Benny Willen explains.

General expansion

With the money from Horizons Ventures, Cloudalize plans to recruit 10  technological profiles for their head office in Ghent. They will join the current team of 24 people. It is also expanding its sales network, focusing on New York, where it will open an office in the buildings of Belcham, the Belgian-American Chamber of Commerce, and Asia.

A history of interesting partnerships

Cloudalize owes this new capital in part to earlier interesting partnerships. For example, Cloudalize collaborated with Nvidia, specialist in the development of graphic chips, as a preferred partner. And in the gaming world, it joined forces with Epic Games, the producer of the extremely popular game Fortnite.
