Hiro Capital (UK) funds Flanders game studio Happy Volcano
Happy Volcano’s latest project, You Suck at Parking, is a new spin on the racing game, where the goal is to stop in time instead of to outpace opponents. This project caught the eye of Luxembourg/London technology venture capital fund Hiro Capital, which dedicated EUR 1.8 million in capital. Hiro Capital focuses on esports and streaming. Thanks to the investment, Happy Volcano can expand its team and begin its journey toward conquering the global market.
Hiro is delighted to be partnering with Happy Volcano to help the studio maximize the potential of its forthcoming release, You Suck at Parking, a quirky physics game which was designed for anybody who might enjoy the hilarious challenges of parking at speed! Hiro's investment will give the studio the time and resources needed to realize its ambition.
You Suck at Parking is set to release in 2022. Like many modern games, the plan is to further expand the game after release, enabling players to keep playing for a longer period of time. Can’t wait to play a Happy Volcano game? Take a look at the studio’s previous title, The Almost Gone. This game is driven by narrative and is thus very different from more action-packed You Suck at Parking – a testament to the versatility of the developers at Happy Volcano.
