Etihad announces Brussels flights
Etihad Airways, a relatively new airline owned in Abu Dhabi, is to start regular line services taking in Brussels on its the United Arab Emirates to Toronto route, online news sources report.
The Brussels link will begin in May and forms part of a rapidly expanding number of destinations the airline flies to. Etihad currently offers 16 destinations and aims to increase that figure to around 70 by 2010.
The airline has bought four of the recently unveiled Airbus A380 aircraft, four ultra-long range A340-500s, four A340-600s and 12 A330-200s, with options to purchase 12 additional planes. Deliveries will begin in 2006 for the A330-200s and A340-500s, and in 2007 for the A340-600s and A380s.
