Dutch group Van der Vlist moves into Zeebrugge

The Dutch group Van der Vlist is investing around five million euro in a reception and assembly center for its subsidiary European Transport Systems, and in a new facility for its Belgian transport firm Cheron. Both will be located in the Zeebrugge Transport Zone.

In a first phase, Van der Vlist, European market-leader in large machinery logistics, will build a 4,000 square meter storage facility and 1,400 square meter assembly hall. These are expected to be operational from this summer and will focus on machinery for the construction and agricultural industries. The 25 personnel of Transport Cheron will join their colleagues at Zeebrugge later in the year.

In total, Van der Vlist has some 600 personnel in eight European countries.
