Brabantia expands in Overpelt

Brabantia, the Dutch manufacturer of household goods, has been given local authority approval to buy the Linpac Automotive buildings alongside its existing plant in Overpelt, Flanders, in order to expand production at the site.

The purchase comes as part of Brabantia’s international restructuring, and will result in an investment of 11 million euro and the creation of 30 new jobs.

The restructuring will reduce the number of Brabantia’s production facilities from six to four and will see all plastics-related operations concentrated at the Overpelt plant, which will be fully operational by May, according to the company.
