One city, one laboratory, one pharmacy
This medical transportation shift will ensure more efficient and faster healthcare services for patients and closer cooperation between medical services.
"Each hospital currently has its own laboratory and pharmacy. In the future, there will only be one laboratory and one pharmacy for multiple hospitals,” says Mikael Shamim of Helicus Aero, the initiative behind the medical drone flights.
"Hospitals will increasingly work together in networks,” adds Etienne Wauters, managing director of GZA Hospitals, who is participating in the project. "With mobility becoming an ever-growing challenge, this innovative pilot project seeks to meet the increasing demand for efficient internal transport.”
