United Nations World Tourism Organization General Assembly to be held in St. Petersburg from September 9 to 13

The 23rd session of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly will be held in St. Petersburg from September 9 to 13.

UNWTO is the leading international organization in the field of tourism, which promotes tourism as a driver of economic growth, inclusive development and environmental sustainability.

It was decided that the 23rd session would be held for the first time in the Russian Federation, in St. Petersburg, from September 9 to 13. 158 foreign ministers, up to 2 thousand delegates, will arrive in the city on the Neva River to attend the event.

Delovoy Peterburg, local business daily, has published a bilingual Russian-English supplement dedicated to the event which covers various aspects of tourism business in the city.
