Transport Week 2018 - Moskou

The distinguish feature of this exhibition that it’s held in frames of number of forums, conferences and round tables dedicated to Transport topics, all these events are taking place under the logo Russian Transport Week. In ist turn, the forum itself is the largest event of the industry with wide quaters of participants, including  federal and regional heads of profile ministries, transport authorities, heads of regions, members of the Russian government, senior executives of the largest Russian and foreign companies engaged in transport. Definitely, even the Tranport week Exhibition can’t compare to Transrussia which takes place in Crocus-Expo in terms of participants, but its status is rather high and this event is some kind of mainstream in Russian Transport industry.

The exhibition goals are the following:

- Demonstrate innovative developments in transport and infrastructure projects

- Promote financing projects in the transport sector

- Promote the establishment and development of inter-regional and inter-sector partnership relations

- Promote the integration of the Russian transport industry with the international transport system.

In November 2018, the 12th International Exhibition was occupied 3,700-square-meters. It demonstrated the results of the most significant projects in the rail, road, air, sea, and river transport sectors.

The participant profile is the following: Vehicle manufacturers, Freight and passenger carriers, Owners and operators of transport infrastructure, Regions representing significant infrastructure projects, Investment companies and banks, Construction companies, Manufacturers and suppliers of equipment and communications systems, safety and signaling devices, Repair and service companies,Logistics companies, Insurance companies, Research Institutes, High schools.

As to the Forum “Transport of Russia“, first of all, it serves as a platform for consideration of the key points of the industry development. This year, 'Transport' was focused on digitalization aspects in the transport system. Transport is among the top-priority issues in so-called 'May Decree of the President of Russia - On National Goals and Strategic Objectives Behind Development of the Russian Federation Until 2024', which is to be implemented on the basis of extensive launch of digital technologies.

For the current moment, the Russian Ministry of Transport is implementing the program 'green transport corridor' – unified digital platform based on the Russian-made software operating on the one-stop shop principle.

Decision & follow-up:

In first turn, the main goal of this exhibition is to present the year's results in the transport industry to the Russian government and stimulate the dialogue between the business quarters and the government in order to jointly solves the problems that face the Russian transport industry.

The number of participants is amounted only to around 120 companies, most of them are Russian systematically important companies in the Russian transport system, moreover, most of them are state enterprises. For Flemish companies, it can be interesting and effective in terms of networking and receiving a real opportunity to have a dialog with the top-management of the largest transport giant-companies involved in the most important infrastructure projects as RZhD – Russian railways, Rosmorport, Sheremetjevo Airport, but not in terms of taking part in it as an exhibitor.
