Leningrad-regio ondersteunt KMO's tijdens de COVID-19-pandemie

On 23 March 2020, the Governor of the Leningrad Region made a number of decisions to support SMEs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are some of the proposed regional measures:

  • reduction of the tax rate in the simplified tax system from 6% (of income) to 1% in the fields of tourism, healthy lifestyle, leisure, catering, and household services, valid as of January 1, 2020;
  • increase the volume of funds allocated for subsidizing SMEs in the most affected sectors (tourism, healthy lifestyle, leisure, catering, household services, individual industries) in order to reimburse interest on existing loans;
  • to introduce the regional legislation norm that the spread of a new coronavirus infection is a force majeure. During the period of force majeure, no penalties will be accrued, the counterparty cannot recover losses;
  • establish a moratorium on three months for rent payments under contracts for the provision of state property of the Leningrad Region and installments for payment of rent payments until the end of 2020. Recommendation to municipalities to apply this measure;
  • open a hotline at the Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Leningrad Region to advise entrepreneurs on measures taken.
