The Laser Valley project involves the development of a smart city and a dynamic, innovative and entrepreneurial community around the ELI-NP, Extreme Light Infrastructure-Nuclear Physics.

'Laser Valley – Land of Lights' vision launched in 2015 was followed by a year of exploration 2016 'from vision to action' to identify current challenges and actions to take as for this land of lights to start becoming reality. In 2018 the World Bank published a report containing various scenarios of the development of Laser Valley ecosystem (full documents in the links below).

Local authorities plan to develop various landmark projects in the coming future as to implement the concepts of smart infrastructure, eco-green technologies, smart eco-living, urban regeneration etc.
