Tosno Mixed Feed Factory, located in Leningrad region, 45 km away from St. Petersburg, has successfully completed GMP+ certification. This is a huge success that enables the company to enter foreign markets and export products.

The factory has become a pioneer among animal feed producers of Leningrad region to certify feed premixes. The certification process was supported by Export Support Centre of Leningrad region.

Ms. Ekaterina Surushkina, General Manager Tosno Mixed Feed Factory, remarks that they have already received applications from Italy and countries in the Middle East. The coronavirus pandemic has caused certain problems with deliveries and the closing of deals but this is a temporary problem. Ms. Surushkina assures that it will not have a long-term effect on business operations and deliveries.

Mr. Sergey Mikhnyuk, Executive Director Russian Feed Union, says that Russia is very dependent on imported feed premixes. About 80% of feed premixes come from EU countries. This dependence will remain in the nearest future.
