The European Commission has launched a set of initiatives globally entitled the European Green Deal, contributing to the EU’s energy and climate goals.

'How can regions enable the Green Deal' is a workshop hosted by the AdEPorto – Porto Energy Agency, taking place in the frameowork of the annual event 'The European Week of Regions and Cities'.

Bucharest-Ilfov Regional Development Agency is among the entities to take part in the workshop. The Regional Operational Programme for Bucharest-Ilfov supports energy efficiency for residential and public buildings, electric buses and trams, and street lighting.
