FIT @ State Visit to India (5 – 11 November)

Their Majesties are travelling from 5 to 11 November to the Republic of India for the celebration of 70 years of diplomatic relations. HM the King and HM the Queen of the Belgians are accompanied by a political, economic and academic delegation.

During one week, 45 business leaders will intensify  existing business relations with their Indian partners. 41 contracts will be signed, of which 13 are between Flemish and Indian entrepreneurs.  

Minister-president of Flanders, Geert Bourgeois, leads the Flemish delegation. Also FIT CEO Claire Tillekaerts travels to India: “India is the 7th export market of Flanders with an export value of almost 8 billion EUR. With a market of 1,3 billion consumers, India offers a lot of economic opportunities.

FIT will focus on the sectors of the future and where the most needs in India exist. FIT organizes two seminars to showcase the ‘state of the art’- expertise of our companies: one seminar on clean tech and one on the food industry”

FIT has three economic representations in India: in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore
